Families can anticipate an annual tuition increase, which supports faculty compensation, curricular enhancements and facility improvements. The Oak Hill School finance committee works diligently to steward financial resources prudently.

For the 2022-23 academic year, more than $400,000 was allocated to help fund our financial aid program to assist 30% of the student body. Oak Hill School may cover up to 60% of the tuition expense for qualifying families.

Grade Level Tuition
Pre-K $8,850
Lower School (K-5) $20,400
Middle School (6-8) $21,950

Available for students entering grades K-8, tuition assistance is awarded based on demonstrated financial need and is made in the form of a grant applied as a reduction to the cost of tuition. Families who can benefit from tuition assistance must apply each year. Oak Hill School makes every effort to fund student tuition assistance through 8th grade, subject to availability of tuition assistance funds and the family’s ability to demonstrate need annually.

Tuition assistance is based on the total annual tuition cost for a student to attend Oak Hill School and does not include other costs, such as athletics, enrichments, after-school care, meals or other incidental expenses. The primary responsibility for financing a student’s independent school education rests with each family. This takes precedence over Oak Hill’s ability to provide tuition assistance. Admission decisions are made independently of tuition assistance decisions.

Please check back for more information or contact us with questions regarding tuition assistance.

Due to Oak Hill School’s varying resources and changing applicant pool, awards are granted on an annual basis and do not automatically roll over from one academic year to the next. Parents must complete the SSS application for each new school year. See schedule below:

  • 3/11/24 – Although this date has passed, we offer rolling enrollment based on available space. Call or email for details and find out if there’s availability in your student’s grade.

  • 4/01/24 – Enrollment decisions made and sent to families.
  • 4/30/24 – Deposit deadline for new and continuing students for Fall 24-25.

All payment plan payments must be paid in full by the end of the payment plan period. Families who would prefer to pay their tuition in full must do so by August 15, 2024. An inability to make payments in a timely manner may lead to disenrollment from Oak Hill School or non-renewal of enrollment agreement for the following school year. Additional Tips & Information

  • Complete only one PFS per household: You can apply for aid for multiple children using a single PFS and pay only one application fee.
  • Be careful: Make sure your name appears exactly the way it appears on your tax documents.
  • Use whole numbers: When entering numbers, do not enter decimals or cents; simply round to the nearest whole number. Also, all monetary values must be in U.S. dollars.
  • Differentiate applicants from dependents: Questions about “student applicants” refer to the children applying for tuition assistance. “Other dependents” refers to children for whom you provide support but are not applying for assistance.
  • Separate salary from profit: If you are a business or farm owner, you will be asked about your salary in the Family Income Section. Enter only the amount you actually draw as salary, as reported on your W2. You will provide more information about profit/loss elsewhere in the PFS.
  • Estimate your taxes: We realize most tax forms are not available until late January. If you don’t have your current year’s taxes available, it’s fine to estimate your answers based on the previous year’s tax return.
  • Tell your story: Offer explanations when requested, so that your personal situation is clear and understandable to those reviewing your application.
  • Calculate debt and unusual expenses: When asked to report your credit card debt, enter your total outstanding balances and use the “notes” section to specify the types of purchases you made using those cards. When asked to total any “unusual expenses,” review the list of expenses you should and should not include.
  • Be honest: Carefully consider how much you can pay toward tuition on your own. If it’s helpful, make an income-and-expenses budget and determine how much you can realistically afford for tuition costs.
If you need help completing the PFS, please contact SSS customer service at 1-800-344-8328, Monday – Friday: 9am – 8pm EST; Saturday: 9am – 4pm EST.

Student withdrawal through August 15, 2024, results in loss of deposit only. Student withdrawal or dismissal on or after the first day of school results in an obligation to pay 100% of the total net tuition.

Tuition does not cover incidental fees and expenses, including but not limited to optional sports participation fees, classroom material fees, special class fees, field trips, meals, etc. Tuition assistance is available for school activity and field trip fees, as needed, when they create a financial hardship for families and when the activity is required.
