Auxiliary Programs

During the school year, Oak Hill School offers engaging after-school care, as well as enrichment classes and clubs. In the summer, we offer Camp Wild Oaks for both Oak Hill students and the general public. These programs support families while providing fun, educational opportunities for students. All require registration and are provided at an additional cost.

Aftercare

Aftercare is offered from 3:15-6:00 PM daily on the school year schedule, as well as select no-school days. We offer two aftercare options: KIDS Club for grades K-5 and the Chill Zone for grades 4-8.

Updates for 2024-25: We now offer hourly drop-in rates and weekly/monthly subscriptions. We’re excited about this update and hope this will be more cost-effective. We have retired our punchcard option to improve our efficiency and streamline our attendance.

If you have any questions about this or are unsure which option is best for you, please email us at auxiliary@oakhillschool.net.

Enrichments

After School Enrichments are clubs and classes that allow our students to explore their interests and passions beyond the classroom. These are once-a-week clubs and classes that meet from 3:15-4:30 PM and are only open to Oak Hill students.

We have a variety of enrichment programs planned for fall, winter, and spring sessions. See what we have coming up below.

September 16 – November 22 | Open for enrollment starting August 28.

Please note that some specialty enrichments such as Young Company will have a slightly different schedule due to the needs of the program and/or instructor absences.

Minecraft Club with Mr. Tim (Mondays) | Grades 2-8

Ready to play Minecraft in a fun and safe environment? Students grades 2nd through 8th are invited to join forces in Minecraft Club. Mr. Tim will provide ideas, projects, and challenges in a safe and shared Minecraft server. This class is community-focused – a chance for students to learn from each other, share the joy of playing, and have fun. If students learn new computer, programming, and engineering skills along the way – that is a bonus!

Important! Students MUST HAVE a Minecraft license and a working Microsoft username and password to join. These are required before the class in order to play together on our server. The cost for a Minecraft license is $30 and must be set up by the parent.

Garden Club with Ms. Ginny (Tuesdays) | Grades K-5

Join Ms Ginny this fall to get your hands dirty while we explore all things garden! Harvest veggies and seeds, help plant and maintain winter veggies, even make a couple of fun garden crafts to take home. Be sure to dress for the weather for this enrichment club as we spend all our time outdoors!

Young Company with Ms. Kitsann/Mr. Tim (Tuesdays/Thursdays) | Grades 3-5

Please note: This enrichment runs from October 8-January 16. Details on showing/performance dates and time(s) will be coming soon.

Ms. Kitsann and Mr. Tim present Young Company Acting! Follow your thespian inspiration and help the crew create a short film or play this term! This after-school experience is built for 3rd-5th graders to learn to act, direct, film, and more. The class meets twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, in the Black Box theater in the upper school on Oak Hill Campus.

PLEASE NOTE: This class may require rehearsals and performances beyond the Tuesday/Thursday schedule. For questions on Young Company you may contact Kitsann Means kmeans@oakhillschool.net.
